The top highly expected Kannada films with high investment on the one side flopped and considered as major setback are – Jogaiah, Prince, Srimathi, Kanteerava, Veerabahu among senior actors, Swayamkrishi and Aata with new actors in it.

The 100th film of hat trick hero Shivarajakumar 'Jogaiah' made all circuses to gain good ground. The film was washout after three days. The two big names Shivarajakumar and director Prem in actress turned producer Rakshita film was shocking in results for the entire industry. The film Jogaiah was sold prior to release but all the distributors have lost money. The gimmicks of director Prem cost heavily. Only the songs clicked from this film.

Prince starring Darshan, Nikitha Tukral, Jennifer Kotwal in the direction of Om Prakash Rao for producer Sandesh Nagaraj it was a washout in 'Veera Bahu' Kannada cinema too. Veera Bahu starring Vijay, Nidhi Subbaiah in S Mahender direction was super flop.

'Srimathi' a remake of 'Aitraaz' starring Upendra, Priyanka Upendra and Celina Jaitley was toppers top flop of 2011 in the direction of G Ravi for producer Shankre Gowda.

Among the biggest flops in the debutants are – Veerendra Babu's 'Swayamkrishi' that buried Rs.4 crores for the producer while senior producer Shailendra Babu with his son Sumanth and Vibha Natarajan in the lead lost Rs.5 crores from 'Aata'.
